Title: The Unseen Enemy
As the world stood still, a silent enemy crept in,
Spreading fear and despair wherever it's been.
Covid, they called it, a name that now strikes fear,
A tiny virus that brought the world to tears.
Borders closed and cities locked down tight,
People isolated, day turning into night.
Masks and hand sanitizer became our new norm,
As we tried to protect ourselves from harm.
Families separated, loved ones unable to hug,
The loneliness and isolation, like a never-ending slug.
Frontline workers became heroes in the fight,
Risking their lives to keep the darkness at bay, shining light.
But through the chaos and the pain,
Hope and resilience began to reign.
Communities coming together, helping those in need,
Standing strong in unity, planting new seeds.
As the days turned into months, and the months into years,
We learned to adapt, to face our fears.
Covid may have changed our lives, but it could not break us,
For we stood strong, united, in the face of this virus.
And when the day finally comes, when Covid is just a memory,
We will look back with pride, knowing we faced adversity.
For in the darkness, we found the light,
And emerged stronger, ready to take flight.
So here's to the heroes, the fighters, the ones who never gave in,
For together, we will conquer, and let the healing begin.
Covid may have been a formidable foe,
But it only made us stronger, that much we know.
In the end, we will rise, like a phoenix from the flames,
Stronger, united, and forever changed.
For we are survivors, warriors in the night,
And together, we will emerge into the light.
