That is good that you are not sleep deprived unlike me. lol. I admire that you have a regular sleep schedule. Reducing on caffeine intake definitely helps because caffeine is a type of stimulant that can disrupt your sleep. It actually delays the timing of our body clock. For me, I need to take caffeine before work and during work to help me stay awake and alert to be able to be productive at work. During my working days, I only get 3 to 4 hours a sleep a night. When I got back to work the next day, I get very tired and my anxiety starts kicking in during work. Its probably due to my caffeine intake during work. However during my days off, I make up my sleep and reduce my caffeine intake to one a day.

Hi Amy,

Thanks for sharing your experience! I can definitely understand the struggle of balancing work demands with proper rest. It sounds tough to only get 3 to 4 hours of sleep on workdays; that must be really challenging for your overall well-being. It’s great that you’re able to recharge on your days off and reduce your caffeine intake.

Finding that sweet spot between staying awake and not letting caffeine interfere with your sleep can be tricky. Have you considered any other strategies to help manage your energy levels at work? Sometimes, short breaks or light exercise can also help boost alertness without relying too heavily on caffeine.

Hang in there, and I hope you find a rhythm that works well for you!

Best,
Oscar
