Hello.

My name is Vinnisha Jones. I currently work as the academic leader at a K-8 Charter School, as well as the Director of an afterschool program (21st Century). I have worked in education for the last 17 years, serving 5 as a classroom teacher and 12 years as an administrator. I have two amazing sons ages 3 and 15. I was born and raised in Belle Glade where I currently reside. I lost my mom 2 years ago to cancer and was her caregiver during that time which re-sparked my interest in healthcare.

What I hope to gain from this course is the ability to increase my knowledge of nutrition and the effects of nutrients and vitamins on the human body, and how nutrition can be used to promote a healthy lifestyle.

Your desire to expand your knowledge of nutrition is a fantastic pursuit, especially given its critical role in overall health and well-being.

I look forward to working alongside you in this course and am excited to see how we can all apply what we learn to make a positive impact in our communities, especially in promoting healthy lifestyles.
