The best sources of carbohydrates are vegetables, whole grain, fruits and beans.
The best sources of fat include avocado, nuts (almonds, walnuts etc.) and some dark chocolate in moderation.
The best sources of protein include lean meats, eggs, and fish.

The recommendations of macronutrient for the average healthy adult are 45%-65% for carbohydrates daily, 20%-35% for fats daily and 10%-35% daily for protein.
I believe the percentages are statistically correct for an average person, but if you really think about it each person is different and will/could need different nutrients then other adults.

Hi Kamaron,

I completely agree with your insights on macronutrients! While the general guidelines provide a solid framework for the average healthy adult, individual needs can vary significantly based on various factors, such as activity level, age, metabolic rate, and personal health goals. It’s fascinating to consider how personalized nutrition can truly enhance overall well-being. Tailoring one’s diet to meet specific needs can lead to better health outcomes.

Additionally, it might be interesting to explore how different lifestyles—like plant-based diets or high-performance athletic diets—affect macronutrient ratios. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Best,
