I tried using 2 steps - how did I do?

Aside from the copy/paste of the inequality symbols, ok. Special symbols in various fonts get garbled at times.

22 <= 6x-2 <= 4x+16
24 <= 6x <= 4x+18
Now things start to get messy. You can't just subtract 4x from part of the setup; all or nothing. So, I'd proceed with

4 <= x <= 2x/3 + 3

4 <= x

x <= 2x/3 + 3
x/3 <= 3
x <= 9

4 <= x <= 9

There is no way you can find a value of x such that

12 <= x <= 9
