Reggie has made a stew that is at 100 degree Fahrenheit and he wants to either heat it upto 165 degree F or cool down to 45 degree F. To heat up the stew,it will take atmost 45 minutes plus 1 minute for each degree raised.To cool down the stew,it will take atleast 10 minutes plus 2 minutes for each degree lowered.How much degrees up and down must the stew go?

How much time will it take to heat up the stew or cool it down?Is it faster to cool down or heat up the stew? plz help me out!! i got the answer as,Stew needs to go 65 F up from 100 F and needs to go 55 F down from 100F to cool down. About the time taken,i got this,
t<=45+65
t<=110minutes
t>=10+2(55)
t>=120minutes.

Those are equalities, not inequalities. You know exactly what temperature is needed and how long it takes to get there.

Which takes less time, 110 min to heat it up or 120 min to cool it down?
