reflections over the x or y axis quick check

1 answer

When reflecting a point or shape over the x-axis, the y-coordinate will remain the same while the x-coordinate will change signs.
When reflecting over the y-axis, the x-coordinate will stay the same and the y-coordinate will change signs.

For example, if a point is (2, 3) and we reflect it over the x-axis, it will become (2, -3). If we reflect it over the y-axis, it will become (-2, 3).
