Reduce the number of Loops to 1, and move the bar magnet right and left through the coil of wire again. What do you observe?
1 answer
When moving the bar magnet right and left through the coil of wire with only one loop, the magnetic field induces a current in the wire. This current flows in the opposite direction when the magnet moves in one direction and in the opposite direction when the magnet moves in the other direction. This results in a changing current in the wire, creating an alternating current (AC) flow.
