"The Cenozoic Era is the most recent of the three major subdivisions of animal history. The other two are the Mesozoic and Paleozoic Eras. The Cenozoic spans only about 65 million years, from the end of the Cretaceous Period and the extinction of non-avian dinosaurs to the present. The Cenozoic is sometimes called the Age of Mammals, because the largest land animals have been mammals during that time. This is a misnomer for several reasons. First, the history of mammals began long before the Cenozoic began. Second, the diversity of life during the Cenozoic is far wider than mammals. The Cenozoic could have been called the "Age of Flowering Plants" or the "Age of Insects" or the "Age of Teleost Fish" or the "Age of Birds" just as accurately."

The “age of mammals” was the Cenozoic era, but it also could have been called “the age of life” because there was so much more living than just mammals, it could have been called “the age of flourishment” because everything started to come to life.
lmao all these stupid people
The fact that everyone gets mad at Ms.Sue because she doesn't give answers is honestly dumb. She is a tutor not your parents. If you really need help go ask your mom or call the teachers from your school and ask about it or webmail them... it's not that hard.
Just try a little harder guys. I was in homeschool my whole life and even I know this.

2020 BABY!
The Era that is commonly known as The Age of Mammals is scientifically called The Cenozoic Era. The Cenozoic Era could have been named (just as accurately) "The Age of Flowering plants" (because this is the first era where flowering plants appeared)
"The Era of Birds" (because in this era, birds evolved rapidly and for a period of time, became the dominant species in many areas) "The age of Teolist fish" (because of the spread of Toelist fish over many areas) and "The Age of Insects" (because of the explosion in diversity of insects).

Hope this helps. Remember to VOTE in 2020.

Here's a summarized answer that will help you guys(its in my own words so switch it up a bit)

This era was the Cenozoic era, there were an awful lot of names it went by as this era brought a lot of different life to earth. Names like "The age of insects" or even "The era of birds". Insects had a burst of diversity and birds were evolving rapidly. This really was the time of life on earth.

it was nice helpin you guys see ya ;)

This is Ms. Smith at Connections Academy. This is a question on a portfolio assignment and if you copy this answer, as I see that one of my students just did, you will be written up, just like this student will be.

This is a violation of the Honor Code and could lead to expulsion. It is a serious matter. We even allow corrections up to full points back on any incorrect parts of the assignment. There is no excuse for this. Stop plagiarizing, yes, it is plagiarizing; put some effort into your school work and use what you were given...YOUR BRAIN!
