Harold and Fayard Nicholas were a dynamic dance duo known as the Nicholas Brothers who became one of the greatest dance acts of all time. These African American brothers performed in theaters in Philadelphia in the 1920s while they were still children. In the 1930s and '40s, their dancing, which combined jazz, tap, ballet, and acrobatics, led them to perform in several movie musicals. Later, they used their skills to teach dance to other well-known performers, such as singer Michael Jackson.
