Written approval is required for an employee to pick up another employee's paycheck to ensure accountability and security. This policy helps to prevent unauthorized individuals from accessing someone else's paycheck, which could lead to fraud or theft. By requiring a formal approval process, including the employee's signature and identification for both the person picking up the check and the authorized individual, the organization establishes a clear record of who is permitted to receive the paycheck. This measure protects the interests of both the employee and the organization, ensuring that payroll disbursements are handled properly and securely.
