In Ancient Greece, society was made up of different social classes. At the top were the aristocrats, who were wealthy landowners and had a lot of power. Next were the farmers and artisans, who worked hard and created goods or grew food. Then came the laborers, who did tough jobs for others. Finally, there were the slaves, who had no freedom and worked for other people without getting paid.
