ramos was falling through the air of 30feet per second. how many feet did ramos fall in the 110 seconds before she opened her parachute?

That would depend upon her average speed during the 110 seconds of falling. If she had been in free fall with no air resistance, she would have reached a velocity of g t = 3500 ft/s in 110 seconds. Since her actual velocity when the parachute starts to open in much less, she must have been at or near the terminal velocity of 30 ft/s (44 mph) during most of the free fall.

So a good approximation to the answer is 110 s x 30 ft/s = 3300 feet

Actually 30 ft/s is 20.5 mph. That seems like a very slow limiting velocity for someone falling out of an airplane.

I still believe they expect you to answer 3300 feet.
