1. The reactions of the Sioux to a good crop show that they are a grateful and spiritual people. They thanked the Great Spirit, or Wakan Tanka, for their good crop because they believed that it was a blessing from their Creator.

2. The problem in this story is that the animals do not know what to name the sun. The badger solves this problem by digging his way up to the sky, where he sees the sun, and brings back its name, Wi, which means "sun" in Lakota.

3. The ancient Yaquis held great reverence for their Gods. They believed that the Gods were powerful and had the ability to control nature. While they may have felt fear or awe when the Gods threw lightning at them, they understood it as a sign of their divine power and authority. They likely viewed the Gods as both benevolent protectors and enforcers of their spiritual and cultural values.
