4(2^2) - 2 (3*5 + 1)
4(4)-2(16)
16-32
-16
Q. What is the value of 4(2sq) - 2 (3 x 5 + 1)
A. 8
B. 1
C. -16
D. - 21
I don't understand what exactly I'm doing wrong, I went ahead and put everything in the parenthesis 3 x 5 = 15 + 1 = 16 went back to 4(sq2) which equals 16 then - 2 which would be 14. Then going back and adding the two numbers together with 14 + 16 = 30 - I've also tried it other ways, but I don't know.
