Q: Find pH of 0.2 M of CH3COONa + 0.1M of CH3COOH?
1 answer
Use the Henderson-Hasselbalch equation.
pH = pKa + log (base)/(acid)
(base) = 0.2 M
(acid) = 0.1 M
Look up pKa CH3COOH. I think it's close to 4.74.
