Prove that if sin doesn't equal 0, then 1+cot^2=csc^2. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

1 answer

1 + (cos^2 x/sin^2 x)
= (sin^2x + cos^2 x)/sin^2 x
= 1/sin^2 x = csc^2 x

For x = 0, sin x and csc x are undefined.
