This is YOUR assignment. You need to choose what is most interesting to you, not anyone else. "Easy" has nothing to do with it.
Yeah nobody can help you but yourself, just choose a topic you know well or lived through, find sources like books, newspapers, websites and other sources, write a draft or two to express points you like or dislike, finally try to combine those, spell check it, replace some words for others and reread it.
