Potassium is a reactive element. Bromine is a reactive element. Write the complete balanced chemical equation using appropriate chemical symbols for the reaction when potassium reacts with bromine to make a solid product showing correct symbols and states of reactants and products.
2K(s) + Br2(?) --> 2KBr(s)
Is this correct? I am not sure what the state of matter is for Br2.
1 answer
The equation is correct. Br2 in the elemental state is a liquid. It vaporizes easily and boils about 60C.
