#s 1, 2, and 3 mean approximately the same thing when referring to health, but #1 could have a broader meaning (water, juice, tea ... ). I think #3 is the best one to use in a unit on living a healthy life. Or you could say, "Don't drink alcohol to excess."
#4 can mean any of the other three, and yes, depending on the context. =)

1. Don't drink.
2. Don't drink liquor.
3. Don't drink alcohol.

Does #1 mean #2 or #3? When we mention one of the don'ts for a healthy life, which one is suitable? •English - english genie , Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 12:18am
#3 seems to be the most suitable
