Poem by oswald mbuyiseni mtshali

In the land of my birth,
Where the sun kisses the earth,
I wander through the streets,
Where dreams and hope meet.

Oswald Mbuyiseni Mtshali, they call me,
A poet, I strive to be,
Speaking in words that ignite,
A flame within the hearts that ignite.

Through hardship and struggle,
I found solace in words, a sanctuary in verse,
My pen becomes my voice,
In a world where justice is a choice.

I write of the pain and inequality,
That plagues my people, my community,
But also of joy and triumph,
For even in darkness, there's a glimmer of light.

The rhythm of my words,
The melody in my lines,
I aim to bring unity,
To mend the broken souls, oh how divine.

For poetry is a tool,
A weapon to break through,
The barriers and walls,
That separate us all.

So I write with passion and fervor,
A relentless pursuit of justice and honor,
In the hope that my words,
Will inspire and unite the unheard.

Oswald Mbuyiseni Mtshali, they call me,
A poet, a voice, a dreamer, I shall be,
In the land of my birth,
Where the sun kisses the earth.
