Plz help me!!!
y=-2|x+4|+4
List the x-intercept(s) - I think it's (-6, 0), (-2, 0)
List the y-intercept(s) - I think it's (0, -4)
I really need help quick plz!!!

Both your answers are correct.
can u show your work plz bc I'm confused
so, where did you get your answers? Where is your work?
y=-2|x+4|+4
x-intercepts:
-2|x+4|+4 = 0
-2|x+4| = -4
|x+4| = 2
x+4 = ±2
x = -4±2
Now you do the y-intercept (where x=0)
y=-2|x+4|+4
x-intercepts:
-2|x+4|+4 = 0
-2|x+4| = -4
|x+4| = 2
x+4 = ±2
x = -4±2
Now you do the y-intercept (where x=0)
x-intercepts are the points where y = 0
In this case:
y = - 2 | x + 4 | + 4 = 0
Subtract 4 to both sides
- 2 | x + 4 | = - 4
Divide both sides by - 2
| x + 4 | = 2
Two solutions are possible
x + 4 = 2
because | 2 | = 2
and
x + 4 = - 2
because | - 2 | = 2
1 case:
x + 4 = 2
Subtract 4 to both sides
x = - 2
2 case:
x + 4 = - 2
Subtract 4 to both sides
x = - 6
You still know y = 0 so x-intercepts are:
( - 6 , 0 ) , ( - 2 , 0 )
y-intercepts are the points where x = 0
In this case:
x = 0
| 4 | = 4
so:
y = - 2 | x + 4 | + 4
y = - 2 | 0 + 4 | + 4 = - 2 ∙ | 4 | + 4 = - 2 ∙ 4 + 4 = - 8 + 4 = - 4
You still know x = 0 so y-intercepts are:
( 0 , - 4 )
In this case:
y = - 2 | x + 4 | + 4 = 0
Subtract 4 to both sides
- 2 | x + 4 | = - 4
Divide both sides by - 2
| x + 4 | = 2
Two solutions are possible
x + 4 = 2
because | 2 | = 2
and
x + 4 = - 2
because | - 2 | = 2
1 case:
x + 4 = 2
Subtract 4 to both sides
x = - 2
2 case:
x + 4 = - 2
Subtract 4 to both sides
x = - 6
You still know y = 0 so x-intercepts are:
( - 6 , 0 ) , ( - 2 , 0 )
y-intercepts are the points where x = 0
In this case:
x = 0
| 4 | = 4
so:
y = - 2 | x + 4 | + 4
y = - 2 | 0 + 4 | + 4 = - 2 ∙ | 4 | + 4 = - 2 ∙ 4 + 4 = - 8 + 4 = - 4
You still know x = 0 so y-intercepts are:
( 0 , - 4 )
