This is not something one can derive, it has to be measured.

Where:
h is the height the liquid is lifted in capillary tube.
γ is the liquid-air surface tension.
ρ is the density of water.
r is the radius of the capillary tube.
g is the acceleration due to gravity = 9.81 m/s2
θ is the angle of contact between glass and water. (for glass water interface = 0 )
