Please I need help with this algebra problem
With the 3 equations
f1(x)=0
f2(x)=1/8(x+16)^2-98
f3(x)=2x+24
Determine an equation for this function with the 3 pieces above.(Refer to creating the polynomial functions)

i know i need to use this formula g(x) = f2(x) - f3(x)

Oh come on. Just plug in their definitions:
g(x) = f2(x)-f3(x)
= (1/8(x+16)^2-98)-(2x+24)
= 1/8 x^2 + 2x - 90
f1(x)=0 is stupid, as it contributes nothing.
g(x) = f2(x)-f3(x)
= (1/8(x+16)^2-98)-(2x+24)
= 1/8 x^2 + 2x - 90
f1(x)=0 is stupid, as it contributes nothing.

Can you show me the process to 1/8x^2+2x-90 because I'm getting way different answer
