Two ropes hold a 500N weight. Rope A (left) with an angle of 60° and rope B (right) with an angle of 30° to the horizontal.
Find the tension in both ropes.

The sum of the vertical forces = weight
500=Bsin60 + A sin30
The sume of the horzontal forces is zero.
Acos30-Bcos60=0 (notice sign, opposite directions)
you have two equations, and it will solve.
