Is that the whole problem. I'm pretty sure that there is more than > 10. If you can post that again I'm sure that I can help you.
its
y/6 then >10
y/6 then >10
Thank you Amber.
y/6 > 10
Quick answer: D. y < -60
Full solution: y/6 > 10. We multiply 6 to both sides, so we get y < 60. We see that y < 60 is not a choice, so we multiply -1 to y < 60 to keep the new inequality equivalent to the old inequality, getting y > -60, because the inequality sign "flips" when you multiply by a negative number.

thank you so much sheenybeany! You really helped me a lot!
Whoahh there Sheenybeany
if the inequality is
y/6 > 10
then
y > 60
Why did you reverse the inequality sign?
It is reversed only if you multiply or divide by a negative.
Since we simply multiplied by 6, it stays the same.
Since y > 60 is not one of the choices, we either have some typo, or the question is bogus.
