You don't? Why does the floor hold you up(that is, why don't you sink into the floor?). Because the floor is pushing back with the same force you are pushing(standing) down. When you sit on a chair the chair pushes you up with the same force you are pushing down. If it didn't, the chair would collapse and you would fall to the floor. How do you think jet airplanes fly? The engine pushes exhaust gases from the engines backwards, so the reaction to that pushes the plane forward.
