The implication of the first quote is that most people are "bad." I'd start out by thoroughly considering the word "good." What are "good" behaviors? Going to church, following all of a church's teachings, eschewing out-of-marriage sex, not doing drugs, not drinking alcoholic beverages, kissing up to the boss, following all rules, etc.
Then discuss why you think that most people don't meet your criteria of being "good."
Personally, I like the second quote better, but you may not have the background to expore this topic as well as you can the first topic.
