C None of the answers are right. If c were right, the pressure at the bottom of the ocean would be the same as near the surface. Here is Pascal's principle: Pressure applied to an enclosed fluid is transmitted undiminished to every part of the fluid, as well as to the walls of the container.
It is too bad c did not say pressure applied...

C is the closest to being correct in the pressure question. Pressure variations due to depth are usually small in hydraulic systems, compared to applied pressures. However, strictly speaking, all answers are wrong, as BobPursley has already said.

The sun also has a very strong effect on tides; it is about 1/3 of the effect of the moon. It is the reason you always have higher and lower tides when the moon is full or new
