Please check my answers
1. Which ordered pair is a solution of y=x-4?
My answer is B (0, -3)
4.Which equation has (2,-1) as a solution
My answer is D y=-2x+1
8 answers
Neither is correct.
#1 So, if you use x=0 and y=-3, does that fit the equation?
-3 = 0-4 ?
Nope. Try some other (undisclosed) choice.
#4 Does (2,-1) fit the equation
y = -2x+1?
Nope, since
-1 ≠ -2*2+1 = -3
I think you need some serious review of worked examples in your text.

So would is be
#2. C. 2,6
#4. C, y=x+3 or it is B y=x-3
#2. C. 2,6
#4. C, y=x+3 or it is B y=x-3
You are fishing are answers. Stop it. Go over the lesson again.
#2 (-1?): (2,6) does not fir y=x-4 since 6≠2-4
However, 4=6-2, so (6,4) would fit
#4: Just TRY IT (2-1) fits
y=x-3 since -1 = 2-3
If you are having this much trouble with simple addition and subtraction, algebra is going to be a long hard road.
However, 4=6-2, so (6,4) would fit

Im sorry bobpursley if you thought I was doing that i didnt mean it. Thank you ill do excatly what u guys said thank you.
My (6,4) also does not fit, since
4≠6-4
All those 2's and 4's and 6's confused me.
Some sample solutions to y=x-4 are
(8,4) since 4=8-4
(13,9): 9=13-4
(1,-3): -3=1-4
and so on
4≠6-4
