A car is stationary at first. It moves off with an acceleration of 2 m.s power -2. Calculate how fast it will be moving after 10 seconds.

1 answer

acceleration of 2m/s^2 means that the velocity increases by 2m/s every second.

So, clearly, since v = at,
v = (2m/s^2)(10s) = 20m/s

Keep track of the units! They will give clues as to the required calculations.
