In chapters 7 to 9 of "The Lightning Thief," Percy goes to a special camp called Camp Half-Blood, where he learns he is a demigod, which means his dad is a god! He meets new friends like Annabeth and Grover, and they all get to train and learn about their powers. Percy finds out that someone stole Zeus's lightning bolt, and now everyone thinks he did it! He must go on a big adventure to get the bolt back and prove he’s not the bad guy.

One quote I really like is, "You shall go west, and face the god who has turned." This is on page 56. I chose this quote because it sounds super cool and important! It means that Percy has to go on an adventure and face a god, which is really exciting. It makes me think about how brave Percy is to go on a journey to find the lightning bolt, and it makes me want to be brave too!
