In chapters 10 to 12 of "Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief," Percy and his friends, Annabeth and Grover, continue their adventure on a quest to find Zeus's missing lightning bolt. They visit a place called the Lotus Hotel and Casino, where they get trapped because it makes them forget time and stay there forever. Percy realizes something is wrong and they escape just in time. After that, they meet a scary monster, and Percy has to be really brave to save his friends and keep going on their important quest!

One quote that I really like is: "It’s not easy being a hero, but it’s even harder to be a kid." (page 172). I chose this quote because it reminds me that growing up can be tough and full of challenges, just like Percy faces in his adventures. It makes me think about how even when things are hard, we can still be brave and try to do the right thing, just like Percy does in his quest. It shows that heroes can be normal kids too!
