People with different personalities can be given the same diagnosis why is that need help cant not find the answer i am lookig for or how to word it .

Are you talking about personality disorders or some other diagnosis? With personality disorders, people with a particular diagnosis would have, to a greater extent, similar personalities.

With other disorders (e.g., schizophrenia, bipolar), although patients with the disorder may share particular symptoms, they can vary in terms of their personalities. In fact, within the defining symptoms for diagnosis, patients may vary in terms of which set of symptoms they have.
