Your answer is good -- but I don't understand this sentence:

"She defeated the army led by jane Grey by her Catholic forces. "

Did Mary and Jane Grey lead armies? Which one was Catholic?
yeah jane's army was Protestant and Mary's was Catholic
is that right?
Are you saying that these two women led armies into battle?

Please reword this sentence.
Mary I was Henry VIII's and Catherine's eldest daughter and ELizabeth's stepsister. The army that supported Jane Grey was easily defeated by the Catholic forces led by Mary. She became Queen of England in 1553 and launched a campaign to make England a Catholic country again. Her courts burned nearly three hundred people, and imprisoned many more. Her attempts to bring all of England back into the Catholic Church nearly succeeded. She died in 1558.

is this good?
