Open Response Question Write a 5–6 sentence paragraph about how you picture Josh or JB based on their descriptions from the book Crossover by Kwame Alexander.
1 answer
In the book Crossover by Kwame Alexander, Josh Bell, also known as Filthy McNasty on the basketball court, is described as a dynamic athlete with incredible speed and agility. He is a middle-school student who is passionate about basketball and spends most of his time perfecting his skills on the court. Josh is depicted as having a lean and muscular build, favoring a shaved head, which adds to his fierce and intimidating presence on the court. With a love for sneakers and a confident swagger, he exudes a strong sense of style and self-assuredness. JB, Josh's twin brother, is described as being more reserved and introspective. He has a similar appearance to Josh and shares his brother's love for basketball. However, while Josh relishes the attention and praise as a star player, JB is content being in the background and supporting his brother's success. Despite their differences, both brothers share an unbreakable bond and a deep love for the game of basketball.
