One might do good amal deeds in the intention of getting the reward of Jannah.
However, some ulama prefer a person to do for the love and gratitude towards Allah rather than seeking Jannah. So,perhaps the best thing to do is to focus primarily on doing good amal for the love and gratitude towards Allah; the rewards of Jannah comes more of helping our motivation rather than being the prime motive? What is your comment in this concept?

When one does any good deed, its for love of Allah indeed and also for the reward that he will give us. Indeed we think of the reward all the time because we are humans and this is our weakness.
So we can put it this way, A person does a good deed for the reward, then continues doing it for the love of Allah and since the reward is in the next life, the love of Allah is what comes first.
