okay so using y = (-5/6)x + 3 how do i find the corresponding value for y when x = 12?

here was the previous work to the problem.

5x+6y=18 solve for y
5x + 6y = 18
Subtract 5x from both sides.

6y = 18 - 5x
Divide by 6

y = (18-5x)/6
or 3 - (5/6)x

Substitute 12 for x, do the computation
3 - (5/6)x ,
and you end up with the value of y when x=12. Do you get -7?
yes, I got that answer thanks!
