not sure how to multiply 5/9 < 1818.5

I came up with 545.625 now rounding up 600.000?
doesn't seem correct to me, if possible could anyone tell me where I went wrong.

I am not sure that I understand the question.

5 x 1818.5/9 = 1010.278

assuming that the 5/9 is exact then the answer should be to 5 sig figs, which would be 1010.3
