How much money did she have originally?
m = 2p
8p+2m = 8p+4p = 12p
since 12 pencils cost 1/5 of her money,
5/8 of the remaining 4/5 = 1/2 of the money
so, she bought another 30 pencils, making 38 in all
8p+2m = 8p+4p = 12p
since 12 pencils cost 1/5 of her money,
5/8 of the remaining 4/5 = 1/2 of the money
so, she bought another 30 pencils, making 38 in all
