Need help narrowing down these choices describing the phenomenon when fatty acids are added to water. Group of answer choices
1= Water molecules form an ordered cage that surrounds the hydrocarbon chain of the fatty acid.
2=As time goes by, the fatty acids come together and interact with each other through their hydrocarbon chains.
3= Water molecules interact with the hydrocarbon chain of the fatty acid to lower the enthalpy.
4= The carboxylate group of the fatty acid interacts with water molecules.
5= Water molecules can be free to move around if they do not directly contact with the hydrocarbon chain of the fatty acids.
I know 1 is true, so is 2 and 3. but I am little iffy on 3 and 5.
