at 8:16 the minute hand has moved (16/60)360 or 96°
in one hour (60 minutes) the hour hand moves 30 degrees,
so in 16 minutes the the hour hand has moved forward 8° ( 1 minute --->30/60 or 1/2°)
so the angle from the hour hand to the minute hand is
(120-8) + 96 = 208°
making the other angle, the smaller, 152°
