The atomic number is the number of protons and "names" the element. You write the element, as in X, then to the lower left a subscript with the atomic number and to the upper left a superscript that shows the mass number.

ok i just looked it up. so for the first one would it look like this

The atomic number is 26, that tell you the number of protons. The periodic table tell you the element is Fe. 56 is the mass number. It is written this way.
