As I was Going to St. Ives
BY ANONYMOUS
"As I was going to St. Ives,
I met a man with seven wives,
Each wife had seven sacks,
Each sack had seven cats,
Each cat had seven kits:
Kits, cats, sacks, and wives,
How many were there going to St. Ives?"
How about --
As I was going to St. Ives,
I met a cat with nine lives
My teacher says to create a St. Ives poem and solve it, but I don't know what to do. Help?

So then am I supposed to do Each lives had. And so on?
Yes.
I'm confused about this too. I tried to look it up online, but this is what I found.
