My mind is a starry night

Thoughts twinkle left and right
I try to shut them with all my might

But, my mind is a fish bazaar
Words come to me from near and far
Unstoppable even with an imaginary bar

Yes, my mind is a stormy sea
Ignorant to my own plea
Wide awake it wants to be

Which of these is true about this poem?
A.

B.
The poem has the same end rhyme in all the lines.
C.
Every other line of each stanza shares a rhyme.
D.
Within each stanza, all the lines end in the same rhyme.

1 answer

The correct answer is C. Every other line of each stanza shares a rhyme.

In each stanza, the first and third lines rhyme with each other, and the second and fourth lines rhyme with each other. For example:

1st stanza: "night" (line 1) rhymes with "might" (line 3), and "right" (line 2) does not rhyme with them but lines 2 and 4, don't rhyme either (which is line 4 ending with "bar").

2nd stanza: "bazaar" (line 1) rhymes with "bar" (line 4), while "far" (line 2) does not rhyme with lines 1 and 4, and line 3 does not rhyme with those either.

So each stanza maintains a pattern where every other line rhymes.
