Multiply EVERY term in the second bracket by -x; then do the same with the -1. Gather all the like terms together: all the exponents, then all the x terms and then all the numbers.
Would the answer here be 8x^2+4x?

= 4x^3+2x^2-2x+4x^2+2x-2
=4x^3+6x^2-2
= 4x^3+2x^2-2x+4x^2+2x-2
