The three powers assigned exclusively to the Senate are:
- Try cases of the impeachment of federal officials
- Ratify treaties
- Confirm Presidential appointments
The other options, such as impeaching federal officials and initiating revenue bills, are not exclusive to the Senate. The House of Representatives has the sole power to initiate impeachment, and revenue bills must originate in the House as well. The Senate has the role of holding the trial after impeachment and ratifying treaties and confirming appointments made by the President.
