Is there too much homework assigned?

Some people in my school are discussing if there is too much homework each day. Should there be less homework, or more homework?

I think there should be less homework. Lots of homework can put stress on a lot of kids. If they have soccer practice, football practice, or any activities, and if they get home late, they can be very tired which will make the kid fail his assignments, and he could sleep in past the time for school, which may get them marked down for not being at school.

If there is less homework, kids can get their homework done a lot quicker so they can play video games, play with their friends, and do other activities, and they can go on vacations without having to worry about homework.

If there is more homework, then kids cant do anything that much. They can't play with their friends, play video games, and they can't go on vacations.

So, to the teachers reading this, maybe give your students less homework.

I have a suggestion, instead of saying that they can't do those things, u kinda already said they could if they had more time. try coming up with different things. and is there a specific length?
