Mount Rushmore National Memorial is a gigantic sculpture created by Gotzun Borglum. Gotzun carved the faces of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt on Mount Rushmore. The carvings of the presidents took him 14 years to create. However, only six and a half years were actually spent on carving out the mountain. Unfortunately, the rest of the time was wasted on account of bad weather and lack of funding. Mount Rushmore National Memorial is considered to be one of the leading attractions in the United States. People travel from around the world to view this spectacular sculpture.
