mole fraction of CHOHCH in H2O calculate molality of solution

1 answer

It's easier if you type in the numbers.
Say XC2H3O = 0.3 so that means XH2O = 0.7
Take enough sample to be 1.00 mol so grams H2O in 0.7 mol = 18 x 0.7 - about 13 g (but you need to be more accurate) and that is 0.013 kg.
So m = mols/kg solvent = 0.3/0.013 = ?
